It is designed to create a protective barrier between the lab personnel and the chemical fumes produced during experiments or testing. The fumes are drawn away from the fume hood’s chamber by a strong exhaust system.
Dsigntory D’Airtory Fume Hood and Canopy Hood shall be provided to prevent the buildup of fugitive emissions in the laboratory. A general room ventilation system shall be designed such that the placement of supply and exhaust maximize the clearance of contaminants from the room.
